The Authority is governed by a Port Commission composed of seven commissioners who serve without pay. Each commissioner serves a staggered term of three years with appointments made to the Commission each year. Three commissioners are appointed by the Corpus Christi City Council, the governing body of the City of Corpus Christi, three commissioners are appointed by the Nueces County Commissioners Court, the governing body of Nueces County, and one is appointed by the San Patricio County Commissioners Court. The executive staff, under the leadership of the executive director, manages the operations of the Authority and assists the Commission in planning for the future. Port Commission efforts are directed toward encouraging industrial expansion, attracting new cargo, building and maintaining public terminals, setting operational policy and cooperating with the Federal Government as a local sponsor in maintaining and further improving vital navigation channels.

Carrell, President of Frost National Bank, graduated from Carroll High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering from Texas A&M University. He also has a Master of Business Administration from Corpus Christi State University. Carrell serves on the board of numerous community organizations including Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation (CCREDC), USS Lex, Buccaneer Commission, San Patricio Economic Development Corporation (SPEDC) & United Way. Other community involvement includes Rotary Club and CC Economic Stimulus Strategy Team.

Borchard holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters Degree from Texas A&I University and currently is Director of Client Relations at the law firm of Lineberger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson.
Borchard served as Nueces County Commissioner from 1981-1994 and then Nueces County Judge from 1994-2002. His community involvement includes Texas Association of County Judges and Commissioners Association, South Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association, State of Texas Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account, Administration Advisory Committee, Coastal Bend Council of Governments, Highway 77 & 281 Coalition for I-69, Nueces County Juvenile Board, Homeport Steering Council, State Job Training Council, Metropolitan Planning Organization, Alliance for I-69 Texas Executive Committee, Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance, Council of Urban Counties, United Way Board of Governors and Board of Directors NorWest Bank.

Following her first career of teaching and coaching tennis, Judy Hawley served four terms in the Texas House of Representatives. During her tenure in the House, she focused her legislative agendas around issues which impacted rural Texas. She served as Vice-Chair of both the Transportation and Energy Resources Committees and authored numerous bills relating to those industries. Additionally, she served on the Agriculture and Livestock Committee and sponsored major legislation for the agricultural producers in the state. As Chair of the Rural Caucus, she carried the legislation establishing the Office of Rural Community Affairs which coordinates rural issues among the state agencies and serves as a resource for rural communities. Serving as the Vice-Chair of the House Military Caucus, Ms. Hawley carried the legislation which established both the Texas Military Preparedness Commission and the Office of Defense Affairs. Ms. Hawley represented Texas as Vice-Chair of the Southern States Energy Board and as a member of the National Energy Council.
Currently, Ms. Hawley is the Texas Business Development Director for Advanced Acoustic Concepts in Corpus Christi, Texas. She serves on numerous community boards including those of the South Texas Institute of the Arts, South Texas Public Broadcasting, Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation, Texas Maritime Museum, Regional Leaders Forum and Citizens for Educational Excellence.

Jones, currently Chairman of the Board and CEO of American Bank, has been employed by the Bank since 1970. His community involvement includes serving on the board of many organizations such as Christus Spohn Health System, Spohn Investment Corp., State of Texas Economic Development Corp, Texas One, Governor's Business Council, Corpus Christi Economic Development Corp, Futurebridge, Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau, Corpus Christi Business Alliance, Art Museum of South Texas, and South Texas Public Broadcasting. Other community involvement includes Independent Bankers Association of Texas; Subchapter S Bank Association, and Federal Reserve Bank, San Antonio. He has received numerous awards and honors for his outstanding community involvement.

Kostelnik, currently President and CEO of Cinatra Clean Technologies, Inc., has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and holds certifications from numerous professional development courses including the Harvard University Executive Leadership program. He is a Registered Professional Engineer from the Missouri University of Science and Technology Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Kostelnik is also a member of the National Petrochemical and Refineries Association, the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (currently the treasurer) and the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance.
Bob Kostelnik's involvement in the Corpus Christi community includes board positions with the United Way of the Coastal Bend, the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and the Port Industries of Corpus Christi.

Michael D. Scott, was administered the oath of office on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Port of Corpus Christi Administration Offices.
Michael D. Scott was appointed by Nueces County last November. He is a native of our City of Corpus Christi, a graduate of Carroll High School and a former member of the United States Marine Corps, Commissioner Scott is the Vice-president of H&S Constructors, Inc., a company dedicated to refinery construction, pipelines and compressor stations.
Scott's involvement in the community has a large range of organizations such as the Contractor Safety Council of the Coastal Bend and the Board of Governors for the Texans for Law Suit Reform. Member of River Hills Baptist Church, Member of Associated Society of Mechanical Engineers, Life member Viet Nam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps Association, Third Marine Division Association, Member of the Marine Corps Museum, Navy League, Life Member Khe Sahn Veterans, Millennium member of National Rifle Association, Cornyn Circle, Founder and member of Friends of the NRA, Life member United States Parachute Association, Certified NASDS diver with Nitrox training and wreck diving certified, American Cancer Society Golf Committee, Driscoll Hospital golf Committee Co-Chairman, Associated Republicans of Texas Board Member and a Past Chairman of BACALA and current board member.

Charles Zahn Commissioner |

Zahn holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor University. He is Partner in the Law Offices of Charles W. Zahn, Jr. He is a long-time resident of Port Aransas, Texas, where his community involvement and organizational affiliations include Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Board, Port Aransas Charter Commission, Port Aransas Rotary Club, Friends of the Ellis Library, Keep Port Aransas Beautiful, Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association, Aransas County ISD Education Foundation, Coastal Conservation Association, to name a few. Although a resident of Port Aransas, he also serves on the Nueces County Board of Park Commissioners.
Because of his commitment to his community, he has received numerous awards with the Boy Scouts of America, has also been named 2005 Citizen of the Year by the City of Port Aransas and is a recipient of the Jerry McDonald Award for Service to Youth.
